These panels are 24" x 80" and consist of resin, some texture, metallic pigments and resin paint. They look great over couches and beds or in long hallways.
Layers is all about what happens when you layer resin colored with dyes and resin paint over and over. The reaction is mesmerizing when seen in person. Each layer is a particular shape crafted by an ingenious process discovered while just being an artist! A crazy experiment that delivered a real unique design application. Look for updates in the coming months!
Here you will find my achievements from working with encaustic wax. This is a 5000 year old medium used worldwide to create timeless art. Encaustic wax is a combination of pure Bees wax mixed with Dammar resin and pigments. It is then melted onto a wood panel and worked to create the artists design.
These “Color Sticks” come in many different colors which I am constantly updating. Some are plain and some have mosaic tiles which vary in color, size and texture. Most sticks are 3” x 48” and are ready to be mixed or matched. New for 2024 are the 4" x 48" sticks which feature more iridescent glass!
Working on Plexiglas is always a challenge. In this instance I am reverse painting on the backside of the plexi using all kinds of paint. A combination of paints are layered in a proprietary order to create these visually stunning pieces of art.
This gallery will be for the "ART" tables and now benches I make. Some will be old furniture that I Up-Cycle and others will be made from metal I have welded together. 2018 marked the beginning of my Industrial art table experiment! I am also making “river” tables in various sizes using mostly cedar wood and pecan. For 2019 I melded concrete, resin and steel into a new type of table! In 2020 I did more welding and a few commissioned tables. 2021 was about commissions and making Geode Tables that glow in the dark! Still making Geode tables in 2022! 2023 will be about making “layered” tables in various colors as well as more geode tables! Still making great tables in 2024!
These are some of the creations I make out of old junk and parts. I mainly work on them in the winter after spending the year collecting parts from all over the countryside. One mans trash is another mans treasure!
I leave these paintings on the site so you can see other styles and colors of work I have done. If you see something you like, I can always do it again, just let me know.
